Photogallery # 4 about signs, scratches and graffiti from the walls in Rome. They’re not paintings, or digitally made compositions. They’re abstract and macro photos I usually take while I’m walking along the streets: I collected so far more than 100.000 images.

“LaceR/Actions” is a multidisciplinary project and research about the apparent chaos of ripped and decomposed publicity posters, natural cracks, crevices, scratches and urban and industrial signs and tokens. Transferred on canvases, reproduced on lithographic prints or textiles, re-built on collages or scanned in videoclips, the images of torn and disfigured posters and natural cracks and scratches give new meanings and expressions to paper lacerations and matters decomposition.

Some more signs, scratches and graffiti from the walls in Rome…  As I usually like to say, they’re not paintings, or digitally made compositions. They’re abstract and macro photos I usually take while I’m walking along the streets: I  collected so far more than 100.000 images. I’m always amazed how the reality goes beyond every imagination…

Some signs, scratches and graffiti from the walls in Rome…  for my “Lacer/actions” project-research.  As I usually like to say, they’re not paintings, or digitally made compositions. They’re abstract and macro photos I usually take while I’m walking along the streets: I  collected so far more than 100.000 images. I’m always amazed how the reality goes beyond every imagination…

HOW MUCH GREEN WILL THERE BE IN THE FUTURE OF THE UNITED STATES?

“Cracked green” © Roberto Alborghetti – Lacer/actions Project (Abstract Photo of Cracks).

Trump wants less green in the future of US… His withdraw from the Paris agreement still undoubtedly brings risks for the rest of the world. There are lots of possible pathways to the zero-emission global economy needed in the second half of this century to avoid the “severe, widespread and irreversible impacts” warned of by the world’s scientists.

ITALIAN FLAG AS SEEN ON A PUBLICITY BILLBOARD: VISUAL ART FOR THE ITALIAN REPUBLIC HOLIDAY

White, Red and Green are the colors of the Italian Flag. Here some random pics from my “Lacer/actions” Project: they are a sort of tribute to Italian Republic Holiday (it’s today, June 2). I saw them on a publicity billboard and I was captured by the way the case re-built and re-constructed them.

My “Lacer/actions” project is gathering documentary evidence about  the decomposition of torn publicity posters (on outdoor  advertisings), crevices and chaps on metal, plastic or stony surfaces, or metal and plastic platings, industrial tokens. The scenes from the real world are transferred on canvases, lithographic prints or textiles. So, I invite you to enter the wonderful world of Lacer/actions and Cracks… We are surrounded by lacerations and cracks. We live in a planet of lacerations cracks. And they may be considered “an active aesthetical appreciation” of what we call the disturbing elements of imperfection and waste materials.
