GUEST WRITER: MARYSIA ZIPSER – ACT GROUP
For his 5th time to Beeston since October 2014, Roberto Alborghetti is now one of our Beeston community and a highly respected VIP of Nottingham. Roberto is not only the biographer to Pope Francis, but a wonderful visual artist, award winning Arts & Culture & Environmental journalist, best selling author, and Chief Editor of OKAY! Magazine established 20 years ago, which goes out to every school in Italy. He regularly lectures all around Italy to students and presents at European book fairs which now accounts in thousands. Roberto is an inspiration to us British citizens, and has now been honoured by the City of Nottingham Lord Mayor on his March visit in 2017.
Since the Show of The Ghost Bus short films which Roberto produced March 2015 with Bartons plc at Chilwell, in conjunction with ACT / Art Culture Tourism, there has been global impact and publicity, which has grown and grown each year. It has brought a wonderful collaboration and strong links between Beeston/Nottingham and Tuscany which has developed into a business and art/cultural and food/drink/fashion/textiles and festivals synergy. And so the ACT/The Ghost Bus Project/Robin Hood Initiative is travelling around the world 2018, to countries who wish to collaborate to help sustain their art, cultural, tourism and educational projects. For the last two years, countries like USA, Canada, Egypt, Mexico and Ghana, to name a few, are particularly keen for us to visit them to initiate such projects.
Here is Roberto’s draft programme curated by myself for your consideration and attendance/event participation.
