Fellow blogger Renato Aquino – from Portugal (Ourem) – is a successful Senior Operations Manager, Catering Manager and skilled hospitality professional. Through LinkedIn profiles he had the way to see my artistic silk scarves. He was really struck by the unusual design and he acquired the all series of three doing some special gifts. The parcel was delivered  taking more of the time required. Some days ago, Renato sent me this message: “The scarves  arrived… Anyway, it was worth the waiting. The scarves are simply beautiful and very elegant, my gifts were very special and well appreciated!!!”.

I thank Renato Aquino for his kind appreciation and warm words! The three silk scarves (created for a special limited-edition series)   reproduce details of images concerning torn and decomposed publicity posters, natural cracks and scratches, urban and industrial “signs” I captured around the world. The three silk scarves were made with the precious collaboration of the internationally known textile designer Bruno Boggia, who works in Como (Italy) for the most famous international fashion stylists. So, I had the way to turn “trash pictures” into an art subject (my abstract works from the real world are also transferred on canvases, lithographic prints, aluminium and other materials).

SILK, STARS AND SCARVES / TEXTILE DESIGNS FROM DECOMPOSED PUBLICITY POSTERS…

This is a “festive gallery” for the limited-edition series of 3 silk scarves created by Roberto Alborghetti, for his “Lacer/actions Art  Project”

Their design is… unique. They reproduce details of torn posters images and “urban signs” I captured around the world. I accepted the challenge that italian textiles designer Bruno Boggia offered me. Bruno, with the invaluable assistance of his daughter Lucia and his staff, helped me selecting  artworks to be converted into silk scarves designs.

Bruno Boggia Studio works with the most famous designers and fashion brands in the world (Capucci, Lacroix, Valentino, Lancetti, Mila Schon, Chanel, Celine, Dior, Y.S.L., Etro, Escada, Donna Karan, Paul Smith, Rolando Santana…) So, the images of dirty and ripped papers – left to decompose on  city walls or billboards – after being transformed in canvases, lithographs and videoclip, are now artistic and original silk scarves (100 % Crepe de Chine).

BEAUTIFUL INSTALLATION AT PITROSE BEAUTY CONCEPT STORE (MILAN AREA, ITALY) SHOWING MY ARTISTIC SILK SCARVES CREATED WITH IMAGES OF TORN POSTERS…

Pitrose Beauty Concept Store ‘s owners had a beautiful idea. They created an installation showing my three silk scarves series now available in a very special limited edition. Pitrose Beauty Concept Store dedicated them an whole shop-window in the historical centre of Urgnano, Italy (Milan area). Silk fluxes are mashing up with outside autumn colors… Pietro and Rosy at Pitrose are very glad to welcome visitors with the gift of a booklet (Lacer/actions – Pictures of Torn (publi)City) and giving informations about artistic silk pieces displayed in the installation. They said that in the first days of the exhibition, people were really impressed about the show.

The silk scarves design reproduces details of images concerning torn posters and urban “signs” I captured around the world. So, I had the way to turn “trash pictures” into an art subject (abstract scenes are also trasnferred on canvases, lithographic prints and other materials). The three silk scarves were produced with the assistance and collaboration of the internationally known textile designer Bruno Boggia, who works for the most famous international fashion stylists.

Blogger Marina Chetner (USA) wrote: “Roberto’s torn poster art inspired silk scarves are going to be the next big fashion trend… Personally, I think Roberto should set up a pop up shop for his works in Soho NYC, or even have them distributed in the Met Museum Shop”.

Artist and blogger Meredith Deerheart (USA) posted this article: “I received the scarf last night and took it outside to see all the hues and texture woven in gossamer.  I twirled around with it and felt like I had rainbow wings.  The transparency makes it look multi-dimensional… like floating colored glass.  I am rich, rich, rich! in color and texture today. I have a black cashmere dinner dress (long), and I pulled it out to make a long silhouette, then went outside and let the breeze blow the scarf lightly around the still blackness of my form.  The outfit looks so elegant, now, I will wear it to Chicago to celebrate by birthday.  I truly feel like the most beautiful woman in the world…  The pictures of the did not captures the extraordinary,  sheer luminosity of the silk, so in the the scarf is more stunning than I even imagined.  I think it is is a wonderful, extra surprise. I love it!  I love it! On my birthday, though, I will feel like the most elegant, beautiful woman in the theater wearing my scarf, and letting it flutter in the breeze as I walk. These are such beautiful, dimension scarves no camera can do justice to the gossamer effect of the silk refracted by translucent color… and when I dance with it and explore its movement through space, the scarf looks like fluid, translucent stained glass.
Honestly, if you want to impress a woman who’s wild about original fashion pieces, this a perfect gift… and a bargain. There’s a lot of crap on the market that all looks the same, and is more expensive. I love this scarf, and so does everyone who see me wear it. Beauty grows.  Never stop discovering, Roberto.  You have greatness pouring from every part of you”.

OVER A THOUSAND STUDENTS RUN AT THE TUSCANY CASTLE VISITING ROBERTO ALBORGHETTI SHOW / THE “REVOLUTIONARY CHOICE” TO BRING ART TO YOUNG PEOPLE

by Marco Rossi

Over a thousand students from various regions of Italy have recently visited “Colors of an Apocalypse / The Decomposed Publicity Posters”, the Roberto Alborghetti exhibition going on at the impressive Aldobrandesca Fortress in Piancastagnaio, Tuscany (Italy). This extraordinary young people flow coincided with the final events of the XIV edition of “Penne e Video Sconosciuti” (Unknown Pens and Videos) a national Festival promoted by Osa Onlus and the City of Piancastagnaio (Siena). Several school delegations, from primary to high school, had the pleasure of being accompanied on a visit personally by Roberto Alborghetti, who illustrated and described aspects, contexts and realities of his artistic research.

It was a truly amazing experience which brought students into the language of a particular artistic expression. As someone pointed out, it really was a revolutionary choice to see an artist dialoguing and opening his world to the new generations. Was it also an attempt to break rules and taboos which sometimes condemn art in the usual circle of insiders? Yes, Roberto Alborghetti swam against the current, with incredible results: how many other italian art shows recorded in a few days such a high influx of young people?

Over a thousand students entered through the halls of the impressive XIII Century Tuscany castle, touching with hand – in the true sense of the term – canvases, colors and materials. This is also an unusual way to know and living the language of art, without filters, barriers and conditionings.

“Colors of an Apocalypse / The Decomposed Publicity  Posters” exhib presents forty artworks (paintings, lithographs, collages and three special limited-edition silk scarves) created by Roberto Alborghetti with the intriguing and fascinating language of his “Lacer/actions Project”. It’s an astonishing research which explores the surprising  world of natural signs, shapes and colors left on the walls along the streets. Students who went up to Aldobrandesca Fortress, in Tuscany, are really left open-mouthed in front of the novelty of this research, in which completely random colors, signs and forms are the key to experience emotions and  feelings.
