SOMEONE IS WATCHING US… THE SURPRISING COLORS AND SHAPES OF TORN PUBLICITY POSTERS #2

100.000 PHOTOS FOR “LACER-ACTIONS” PROJECT!

This is not a painting! This is a natural (and not manipulated) photo about a torn publicity poster on an outdoor advertisings billboard. The picture  is part of Roberto Alborghetti’s “LaceR/Actions” project-research, which now has reached 100.000 photos taken across the world.
“LaceR/Actions” is a multidisciplinary project concerning researches about decomposed and torn publicity posters, natural cracks and scratches, urban/industrial tokens. Impressed by photocamera and transferred on canvases, reproduced on lithographic prints or textiles, re-built on collages or scanned in videoclips, the details of torn and decomposed publicity posters give new life to waste-paper and decomposed matters.

CELEBRATING 100.000 PHOTOS FOR “LACER-ACTIONS”PROJECT!

This is not a painting! This is a natural (and not manipulated) photo about a torn publicity poster I saw in these days in Milan. It is part of Roberto Alborghetti’s “LaceR/Actions” project-research, which now has reached 100.000 photos taken across the world.

THE BOAT: TIME AND SEA CORROSIONS (THE VIDEO). THEY’RE NOT PAINTINGS…

Celebrating 100.000 photos for Lacer/actions project! The pictures of the video are not paintings or digitally made compositions, but abstract photos Roberto Alborghetti took for his project-research Lacer/actions, around an old boat in Torre a Mare (Apulia, Italy). Soundtrack: Tick Tock, by Jimmy Fontanez. Video by Roberto Alborghetti

THIS IS NOT A COLLAGE BY ROTELLA OR VILLEGLE’, BUT A REAL PUBLICITY BILLBOARD ON THE ROAD…

What you see in this photogallery are not collages built and created deliberately with my hands, joining and sticking piece by piece, but photos of real and random torn publicity posters I saw on a big outdoor billboard, on the road (its sizes: 5,5 meters x 3,5). They are the result of various and different overlaps – which took place over weeks and months – of advertising publicity posters with different contents.

I was lucky enough to catch them and to take pictures for my “Lacer/actions” Project and Archive which now counts around 100,000 abstract images I collected so far around the world.

I think that these random pics, as well as the thousands I have captured and documented so far , would really aroused the envy of Mimmo Rotella and Jacques Villeglè… These artists worked advertising posters snatching them from the billboards. But I think that the true and genuine art – a sort of evolution of the same street art – consists of leaving the torn and decomposed publicity posters where they are staying: on the billboards. This could be a fascinating and random show which transforms our cities in free outdoor “galleries”…
