MY BOOK (“EATING WITH POPE FRANCIS”) IN THE FINAL 6 OF “BANCARELLA AWARD COOKING”

Worldwide success book “Eating with Pope Francis“, that I had the honour to write, has been voted among the 6 Best Books for Bancarella Award Cooking section! 

The Bancarella Award is very close to the heart of Italian booksellers because the Prize is closely related to them;  they choose both the candidates and the winner. Booksellers are the ring of the chain correlating the publisher and the reader: they know best.  And worldwide success “Eating with Pope Francis” (over 150K copies, translated in 14 languages so far) has made it to the final 6 of Cooking section. We’re so proud!  Final result the 21st October. Can’t wait for it! 

The book has been published in Italy by Mondadori in collaboration with Food-Dalcò; the international editions have been published, among others, by Bayard, Larousse, Sudwest Verlag, Novalis aso.

In this book (208 pages, large format, with great photos) you’ll discover the milestones of the Pope’s life and the dishes related to this main events: you can replicate them at home following the original recipes in the book. A volume that gives a new perspective on the beloved, charismatic figure of Pope Francis, recounted by the Pope’s biographer, Roberto Alborghetti. The volume contains 36 special and illustrated recipes inspired to the life of Pope.

Il libro “A tavola con Papa Francesco”, di Roberto Alborghetti, edito da Mondadori, è stato al centro di un incontro- dibattito a “Cibo a regola d’arte”, evento organizzato da Corriere della Sera Corriere Cucina a Milano (23-24-25 marzo 2018). L’autore è stato intervistato da Gabriele Principato, giornalista de Il Corriere della Sera. Sono intervenuti: padre Marcello Longhi, vicepresidente Opera San Francesco; Luciano Gualzetti, direttore Caritas Ambrosiana, e un rappresentante dei cuochi del Refettorio Ambrosiano. My book “Dining with Pope Francis”,  published in Italy by Mondadori, was the focus of a meeting-debate on “Food to perfection”, an event organized by Corriere della Sera (Italian leading newspaper) in Milan (23- 24-25 March 2018). I was interviewed by Gabriele Principato, journalist for Il Corriere della Sera. Father Marcello Longhi, vice-president of Opera San Francesco; Luciano Gualzetti, director of Caritas Ambrosiana, and a representative of the cooks of Refettorio Ambrosiano, participated to the event.
