THE NEW “LAMIAGENDA”! THE COVER REPRODUCES MY ARTWORK MADE WITH WASTE PAPER

It’s out! LamiAgenda 2019/2020 is ready! This year’s theme is “Di cotti & di crudi”, an Italian pun that means: “Cooked and raw”. The texts are in fact a guide to good and healthy nutritionMy artwork, “Strati di memoria n.2” (Memory Layers n.2), made with small pieces of waste paper, is the cover and characterizes the entire iconographic section.

LamiAgenda, published in Italy by I Quindici, has a square shape – this year also a new rectangular size – the texts are written in Easy Reading format (ideal for those who are subject to forms of dyslexia) and contains personalized pages made by the same schools. Yes, it’s a small masterpiece of design, starting from the cover, which is in line with the annual theme of the diary, devoted to food and to healthy and good nutrition, without excess and without food waste.

MY ARTWORK IS THE COVER OF “LAMIAGENDA 2020” (THE MOST SOLD SCHOOL DIARY IN ITALY)

This is the video trailer of the new edition of LAMIAGENDA, available from Spring 2019 and published in Italy by I Quindici. It presents one of the artworks I created for my “Lacer/actions” project. Its title “Burn my heart…”, size 94cms x 51 cms (on wood). This work is a collage created with more than 300 small paper pieces collected along the streets as waste material from outdoor torn and decomposed publicity posters.

It will be the cover of the new edition “of the most innovative school diary” in Italy. The trailer expresses the basic editorial concepts of the new edition of the school diary: it has a square shape, it is full of colors, it is graphically animated. In short, it is an agenda to book! Reservations from the school institutions have already started. For info and contacts: sandinipaolo@gmail.com .

Ecco il video trailer della edizione 2019/2020 de LAMIAGENDA, disponibile a partire dalla Primavera 2019, edita da I Quindici. La copertina presenta un nuovissimo artwork – un collage di carta straccia recuperata dai manifesti pubblicitari deturpati – di Roberto Alborghetti. Vuole esprimere il tema della nuova edizione del diario scolastico + innovativo che ci sia: “Di cotti & di crudi / Il mondo del cibo e della sana alimentazione”. Il video esprime anche i concetti base del nuovo diario-agenda: è quadrato, è colorato, è animato. Insomma, da prenotare. Infatti, sono già partite a pieno ritmo le prenotazioni da parte degli Istituti scolastici. Per info,  contatti e incontri : sandinipaolo@gmail.com;

“GLOBAL WARMING, GLOBAL WARNING”: A NEW COLLAGE FOR WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY (June 5, 2018)

Global Warming - Roberto Alborghetti

Remembering the World Environment Day (June 5, 2018). “Global warming, global warning”: this is a photo of my new collage made up of hundreds of small pieces of waste paper of disfigured and torn publicity posters. It measures 110 x 57 cms and is built on a wooden board. This is a special preview of the work, which I made slowly during the last year, in the little free time left to me by the writing of books, presentations and lectures around Italy.

PHOTOGALLERY: MY NEW COLLAGE IS SERVED FROM A SPECIAL TABLE (AND IT’S MADE WITH 1.258 PIECES OF WASTE-PAPER)

This is my new work for “Lacer/actions” project. It’s a collage made on a table using 1.258 waste-paper pieces of torn and decomposed outdoor advertisings. I gathered every single paper pieces along the streets, after the old publicity posters were torn down from the billboards. I titled it : “The Symptomatology Of Instability (Waves On Waves)”. It covers a wood table; sizes: cms 108 x 51. I think images speak better than words…

About “Lacer/Actions” project…

LaceR/Actions is a multidisciplinary project and research about the apparent chaos of ripped and decomposed publicity posters, natural cracks, scratches and urban and industrial signs (during my research around the world  I  collected so far about 50.000 images). Transferred on canvases, reproduced on lithographic prints or textiles (as pure silk), re-built on collages or scanned in videoclips, the images of torn and disfigured posters and natural cracks give new meanings and expressions to paper lacerations and matter decomposition.

One of my most recent shows (“Colors of an Apocalypse: An Intrigue for the Eyes and Mind from the Decomposed Publicity Posters”) was displaced for 100 days in the enchanting Aldobrandesca Fortress (XIII Century) in Tuscany (Piancastagnaio, Siena, Italy). In the last two years I was on these projects:  “Contemplations and Lacer/actions” (album, videoclip, installations, inspired by Thomas of Bergamo Scripts, 1563-1631), “Atelier of Colors and Emotions” (a project which involved autistic kids), “Lacer/actions on Aluminium” (11 installations for Fai Private Collection, Italy). My works are part of Contemporary Art Collection (Mercatello sul Metauro, Marche, Italy) and participating to “An Exhibition, a Restoration” in Norcia (Umbria, Italy) from July 12 to September 7, 2014.

Now I’m working on “The Ghost Bus” project, in collaboration with Bartons Plc and Act Group, Beeston, Nottingham, UK; all on board from January 2015…
