THAT ABSTRACT WORLD UNDER OUR FEET #5 / A DISFIGURED PAVEMENT IN FLORENCE

Yes, there is an abstract world under our feet … These are some of the images I took in Florence (Italy). They’re macro photography of a disfigured pavement . The pictures are part of LaceR/Actions”, a multidisciplinary project and research about the apparent chaos of ripped and decomposed publicity posters, natural cracks, crevices, scratches and urban and industrial signs and tokens. Transferred on canvases, reproduced on lithographic prints or textiles, re-built on collages or scanned in videoclips, the images of torn and disfigured posters and natural cracks, corrosions and scratches give new meanings and expressions to paper lacerations and matters decompositions. They’re not paintings…They’re Lacer/actions!

“MEMORY LAYERS” COLLAGE FOR “LAMIAGENDA 2018/2019”: THE VIDEO

Where does the cover and the graphic of the upcoming new edition of “LamiAgenda” come from? This video tells you about it … Everything is connected to the “collage” that Roberto Alborghetti has created for his project “Lacer / actions”. As for the cover of the last edition, the new “LamiAgenda” also presents an unprecedented work entirely made up of small pieces of waste paper of torn and decomposed advertising posters. Yes, an artwork all made with recycled matters.  Also because the annual theme of “LamiAgenda” is dedicated to the environment and sustainability: “Standing up for the Earth!”

“GLOBAL WARMING, GLOBAL WARNING”: A NEW COLLAGE FOR WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY (June 5, 2018)

Global Warming - Roberto Alborghetti

Remembering the World Environment Day (June 5, 2018). “Global warming, global warning”: this is a photo of my new collage made up of hundreds of small pieces of waste paper of disfigured and torn publicity posters. It measures 110 x 57 cms and is built on a wooden board. This is a special preview of the work, which I made slowly during the last year, in the little free time left to me by the writing of books, presentations and lectures around Italy.
