After the advertisement has been torn and removed from the billboards, traces and marks of ink, glue and residuals of paper can be glimpsed on the surface. In my opinion, this is a unique spectacle. An open-air exhibition. Our eye can read and admire strange shapes and a sort of codes that only the time and the chance can decipher.

I think all this is a real language. It is the expressive code of the road, which speaks and communicates in an absolutely surprising way. Yes, I am convinced that this is true and pure street art, built by virtue of a force that is beyond our control. Yes, very suggestive black and white pics. You must be immediately ready to impress these scenes …

In this and the next photogalleries I have gathered some of the images I took around a big outdoor billboard located in Milan area (Italy).  The pictures are part of LaceR/Actions”, my multidisciplinary project and research about the apparent chaos of ripped and decomposed publicity posters, natural cracks, crevices, scratches and urban and industrial signs and tokens (I’ve collected so far more than 100.000 photos…).

Transferred on canvases, reproduced on lithographic prints or textiles, re-built on collages or scanned in videoclips, the images of torn and disfigured posters and natural cracks, corrosions and scratches give new meanings and expressions to paper lacerations and matters decompositions. They’re not paintings…They’re Lacer/actions!

There are some amazing and original landscapes on the walls of our cities… They are skies and seas of paper we can see in macro photographs of disfigured advertising posters. In this photogallery I have gathered some of the macro images I took walking along the streets of diffrent cities. They’re macro and abstract photos of a decomposed publicity poster I saw on outdoor billboards.  The pictures are part of LaceR/Actions”, a multidisciplinary project and research about the apparent chaos of ripped and decomposed publicity posters, natural cracks, crevices, scratches and urban and industrial signs and tokens (I’ve collected so far more than 100.000 photos…).

This is not a painting! This is a natural (and not manipulated) macro and abstract photo of decomposed matters.  The picture is part of Roberto Alborghetti’s “LaceR/Actions” project-research, which reached 100.000 photos taken all around the world. See the artwork (and other 14) displayed at ACS Artsy Gallery.

MY MOST VIEWED VIDEO IN 2017: “THERE IS A CRACK IN EVERYTHING…”

This is my Top Video of 2017 : “There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in”, inspired by the wonderful quote by artist Leonard Cohen, who passed away during 2016. Cracks is part of Roberto Alborghetti’s Lacer/actions project-research about decomposed publicity posters, natural crevices and scratches, urban and industrial matters… This clip is dedicated to the wonderful world of cracks magnifications. The images are not paintings or digitally made works, but simply abstract photos of the reality around us… as the cracks…
