“THESE SILK SCARVES ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL… FASCINATING ART AND SENSATIONAL COMPOSITION”: A COMMENT FROM TORONTO, CANADA

*

Janette Nosella (General Manager, Human Resources, Toronto, Canada) purchased the limited edition of the three silk scarves I created in collaboration with Boggia Disegni Studio in Como for my“Lacer/actions” project about abstract macro photos of decomposed publicity posters, natural cracks and scratches, urban and industrial matters. After having received them, Janette kindly sent me on my Linkedin profile this recommendation:

“ROBERTO’s imagination shines through in his Limited Edition Three Scarf Set. Replicated from your world renowned inspirational Art the focus is bold and progressive. Two were gifted to family members with a tremendous appreciation of your fascinating art and sensational composition. Both individuals are honoured to wear images of ROBERTO ‘s stimulating creativity and your pure compositions on the luxury of silk. The innovative art representation on my personal scarf is a masterpiece of stimulating allure.  We thank you ROBERTO for spreading your striking imprint throughout the world. Your enthusiasm toward nature and technology positively radiates through your substance and style”.

Some days before, commenting a post on Linkedin, Janette Nosella wrote these words too about the silk scarves: “Since ROBERTO ALBORGHETTI sent me the three scarves in different designs I must say Marysia Zipser  has a fabulous point regarding this art work. His scarves are so light and large. Maybe because I am a short person (petite as my Dad used to say.) The one for my Mum, she is also short, seemed larger than scarves you buy in stores. Here in Canada you pay more for that length as they are considered shawl length scarves. As I told you they are absolutely beautiful…”.

Thank you so much dear Janette for your wonderful words which are a great encouragement to continue do discover the incredible details and particulars of the world around us. Because , as I use to say for my “Lacer/actions” project, “we may see things that we don’t even imagine”.

My upcoming solo exhibition – “Colors Of An Apocalypse 2015″ – will take place in the amazing Romanesque Baptistery on Lake Como, Italy, on July 3-4-5,  in the beautiful Lenno town.

The Baptistery stands 50 meters from the lake shore and it’s considered one of the most stunning examples of Romanesque art in Northen Italy.  Dedicated to St. John (The Baptist) it was built in the 11th Century. Its octagonal structure looks incredibly simple and essential: we see a squared bell tower and an apse pointed to north. The vault, the portal with three archs, fragments of medieval frescos and a baroque pictorial cycle are other interesting elements of the temple.

The octagonal Baptistery and its enchanting structure will give strenght and evocative power to my exhibition which will show 25 works from my “Lacer/actions” project, included 3 silk scarves (limited edition) I created in collaboration with textiles designer Bruno Boggia and his Studio in Como. Each artwork will be introduced by a phrase  from “The Apocalypse of John”. Images and words to suggest a trip through hopes and tragedies of human life and beings.

  • Opening Hours / Friday July 5: h.4-10 pm; Saturday 4 and Sunday 5: 10am-12am; 2,30 pm-10 pm. Venue: St. John Baptistery, Piazza XI Febbraio, Lenno (Comune Tremezzina), Lake  Como
  • Aperture mostra: venerdi 5 Luglio 2015, ore 16-22. Nelle giornate di sabato 4 e domenica 5 luglio: 10-12, 14,30 – 22,00. Il Battistero di San Giovanni si trova in Piazza XI Febbraio.

Fellow blogger Renato Aquino – from Portugal (Ourem) – is a successful Senior Operations Manager, Catering Manager and skilled hospitality professional. Through LinkedIn profiles he had the way to see my artistic silk scarves. He was really struck by the unusual design and he acquired the all series of three doing some special gifts. The parcel was delivered  taking more of the time required. Some days ago, Renato sent me this message: “The scarves  arrived… Anyway, it was worth the waiting. The scarves are simply beautiful and very elegant, my gifts were very special and well appreciated!!!”.

I thank Renato Aquino for his kind appreciation and warm words! The three silk scarves (created for a special limited-edition series)   reproduce details of images concerning torn and decomposed publicity posters, natural cracks and scratches, urban and industrial “signs” I captured around the world. The three silk scarves were made with the precious collaboration of the internationally known textile designer Bruno Boggia, who works in Como (Italy) for the most famous international fashion stylists. So, I had the way to turn “trash pictures” into an art subject (my abstract works from the real world are also transferred on canvases, lithographic prints, aluminium and other materials).

About Renato Aquino:

He’s a successful Senior Operations Manager, Catering Manager and skilled hospitality professional, whose progressive career has been based upon a platform of knowledge and success within leading corporate facilities and hotel operations (Opway (Portugal & Angola), Novagest – Angola, Casa do Ribeirinho – Oporto , Benard – Lisbon). His LinkedIn profile:
