COLLEGE TOURIST: AN INTERACTIVE SITE WHERE STUDENTS SHARE THEIR WORLDS

College Tourist is a newest interactive website, where students around the globe can creatively exchange and publish personal college town postcards in the form of photographs, uploaded images and graphics. College Tourist spawned from Alison Tatham’s passion for travel as well as her dedication and desire to be more involved in her daughter’s college experience. With the help of Lori Stratford, the two women launched the “College Tourist Million Postcard Project” which embraces the spirit of being a traveler. Their mission in the project is to bring out the joy in travel among college students. Alison and Lori successfully created a niche and an international public platform for students across the world to share memories and daily wonders of their universities.

Some of the categories found on the College Tourist include: College Street Style; Travel Articles; Student blogger posts offering insights from traveling abroad to fashion trends and travel news; Facebook app where students can upload a photo and offer tips on restaurants, shopping areas, hang outs, dream destinations, and weekend hotspots; Facebook app postcard.

College Tourist launched in April 2012 and provides a digital method for students to share the best of their own college town, such as where to eat, shop or just hang out.  The College Tourist team provides a site which creates a community of local knowledge and shared experiences for college students to inspire one another. Furthermore, the College Tourist blog enhances the website experience with blog posts that encompass travel, fashion and food. The College Tourist team has traveled extensively and lived in numerous countries around the world including Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and Australia, before settling in to life in the United States.

A few minutes ago my site stats have counted 20.000 views! I have not so much to say. Only some words: thanks for your friendship, appreciation and encouragement. When I started my WordPress blog – a few months ago – I didn’t imagine to meet so many friends and to achieve so much traffic. I entered into a new communication dimension – also respect to my own art activity – sharin’ ideas, experiences and dreams. So, Thanks again for your kind support. And thanks also to my YouTube channel visitors. Yesterday I got over 7.000 channel views and 7.100 upload views.

20.000: TANTE GRAZIE!
